Authorities in Texas are reporting that they discovered two death teens after finding a car crashed in the front yard of a home.
The incident occurred overnight on Log Cradle street in Northwest Houston.
Police say when they arrived to the scene, they found a 16-year-old dead inside of the vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound.
About a 100-feet away from the crash, they found another victim between the ages of 16 and 18, laying dead on the sidewalk.
Authorities reported that the victim also had apparent gunshot wounds and other trauma.
Investigators say they believe the two teens were involved in a drug transaction and when one of the deceased attempted to rob the other.
“All drug deals are bad, but it does appear that one or the other was in the act of committing a robbery, so there was a shootout,” Sgt. Dennis Wolfford of the Harris County Sheriffs Department told reporters.
Deputies also reportedly found drugs and multiple guns inside the crashed SUV.
While the two deceased appear to be the only two involved in the incident, authorities say they will continue to investigate.
