Police: DNA connects homeless man to the stabbing death of Ryan Rogers

To the relief of many concerned parents, a 39-year old homeless man, Semmie Lee Williams, is under arrest for the murder of 14 year-old Ryan Rogers in Palm Beach County.
Palm Beach Gardens police confirm that the arrest was made Wednesday night in Miami Dade County.
The Palm Beach Gardens police chief says the suspect is a homeless man whose DNA was found at the scene of the crime.

His first appearance in court is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Beach County and he is charged with first-degree murder with a weapon.

Investigators were able to track Williams to Miami-Dade County thanks to his YouTube page.
The videos also placed him in the area of Palm Beach Gardens around the time of the murder.

Reward for information leading to an arrest in the murder of Ryan Rogers.

Ryan’s body was found Nov. 16 near the Central Boulevard sidewalk at the Interstate 95 overpass, less than 24 hours after his mother reported him missing.
Cindi Rogers wrote on Facebook that her son went out for a bicycle ride early in the evening on Nov. 15 and didn’t return home.
Palm Beach Gardens police initially thought the teenager was the victim of a hit and run traffic accident, but later determined he was murdered.
