Pharrell Williams is very brave to open up a hotel during the coronavirus pandemic. The Grammy award-winning musician and fashion designer joined the hospitality industry in Miami Beach.
This could be an amazing opportunity for some folks to rub elbows with a few celebrities.
South Beach is the place to be for all of the A-List celebrities and there friends, hopefully the locals can appreciate this boutique hotel full of color and personality.
“The is a fruition, “the creative entrepreneur said. “This is the Goodtime Hotel.”
Pharrell and Miami’s David Grutman, who partnered to open Swam Miami in the Design District, are preparing to open a seven-story boutique hotel in South Beach.
“We wanted to give our guests an opportunity to really have a community building where they could sleep, relax, recharge,” said Grutman, who co-owns several local restaurants and nightclubs including LIV at Fontainebleau and Story.
Guest can enjoy drinks and a menu from Strawberry Moon, a Mediterranean restaurant and bar that is already accepting reservations for this weekend.
Pharrell worked with Ken Faulk, a cinematic interior designer, and adopted Art Deco nostalgia. He used dramatic tropical murals in the lobby and vintage chic lamps with fringes.
Fulk embraced a palette of warm pastel, coral, pink and mint.
“Imagine it as a sort of this love letter to this town. “Fulk said. “I wanted to pay homage to Miami Beach.”
Pharrell also has a music studio on-site, so you know the music will be lively.
The hotel will start bookings on Thursday.
They are offering locals a staycation offer.
