Pedestrian dies after fatal hit-and-run in WPB, officers searching for driver

(WEST PALM BEACH, FLA) — A pedestrian died after being fatally struck by a car in West Palm Beach, and authorities are actively searching for the driver that fled the scene.

The crash happened just after 5.a.m. Monday along Okeechobee Boulevard, according to WPTV.

A man was attempting to cross Okechobee Boulevard and was fatally struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on the boulevard. The driver fled the scene.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
