
(DELRAY BEACH, FLA) — A welfare check conducted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Monday led to the discovery of a dead body. Now a homicide investigation is underway.
According to PBSO, deputies responded to the 5600 block of Nespa Way, west of Delray Beach, at 10:20 a.m. to check on the resident at the behest of concerned loved ones.
Deputies entered the unit at the Blu Atlantic Apartment Homes with a master key where they found the body of a dead woman, according to PBSO.
Homicide investigators believe she was the victim of a homicide due to the condition of her body.
They will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Authorities said no additional information about a suspect or motive is known at this time.
