State officials say Florida has surpassed 500,000 coronavirus cases. Meanwhile, testing is ramping up following a temporary shutdown of some sites because of Tropical Storm Isaias. A new testing center in Palm Beach County has opened following the recent spike in covid cases.
The new site will open Monday. A ninth location will be at Caloosa Park in Boynton Beach right off Congress Avenue. It will be open at 9 a.m-5 p.m., seven days a week.
County officials want to remind people there are many options available for getting tested, like at commercial pharmacies or at a doctor’s office.
