
Palm Beach County deputies came under fire Wednesday afternoon while serving a warrant near El Clair Ranch Road in western Boynton Beach. A deputy was shot in the hand and leg just after 1:30 PM and was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect in the shooting barricaded himself inside a home for several hours before police were able to negotiate a peaceful surrender by 4:30 PM. The deputy who was shot is expected to survive.
