Owner of auto repair shop arrested after shooting driver trying to leave

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s department has arrested a 66-year-old owner of an auto repair shop after he reportedly shot a driver.

Police say they were called to GT Auto Repair on 2800 block of Forest Hill Blvd just before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday due to the report of a shooting.

When they arrived, learned that the owner of the business, Thomas Scorza, shot at a driver who was attempting to leave the business.

The driver was shot in the right calf according to police.

Authorities did not say why Scorza shot the driver.

Scorza was arrested and taken to the Palm Beach County jail. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery.
