Sgt. Bryan Cooper Mount, 25, from St. George, Utah, died as the result of a vehicle rollover accident while conducting reconnaissance operations, July 21, 2020, in Eastern Syria. The incident is under investigation. Mount was assigned to 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
1st Lt. Joseph Trent Allbaugh, 24, from Folsom, California, died as the result of a non-combat-related incident, July 12, 2020, in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The incident is under investigation. Allbaugh was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 108th ADA Brigade, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Pfc. Alexander Blake Klass, 20, from Willamina, Oregon, died as the result of a non-combat related incident, July 4, 2020, at Camp Novo Selo, Kosovo. The incident is under investigation. Klass was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry Regiment, 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oregon National Guard, Springfield, Oregon.
Spc. Vincent Sebastian Ibarria, 21, from San Antonio, Texas, died as the result of a vehicle rollover accident, July 3, 2020, in Farah, Afghanistan. The incident is under investigation. Ibarria was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York.
Spc. Nick Bravo-Regules, 20, from Largo, Florida, died June 23, 2020, in Jordan while supporting operations in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, from a non-combat-related incident. The incident is under investigation. Bravo-Regules was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 11th ADA Brigade, Fort Bliss, Texas.
Sgt. Christopher Wesley Curry, 23, from Terre Haute, Indiana, died May 4, 2020 in Erbil, Iraq, from a non-combat-related incident. The incident is under investigation. Curry was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
The Department of Defense announced today the death of two service members who were supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. Both service members died March 11, 2020, when their units were engaged by enemy indirect fire at Camp Taji, Iraq. The incident is under investigation.
The deceased are:
— Army Spc. Juan Miguel Mendez Covarrubias, 27, of Hanford, California.
— Air Force Staff Sgt. Marshal D. Roberts, 28, of Owasso, Oklahoma.
Mendez Covarrubias was assigned to 1st Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Roberts was assigned to the 219th Engineering Installation Squadron, Oklahoma Air National Guard.
The following Marines died March 8, 2020 while supporting Iraqi Security Forces in north central Iraq. The incident is under investigation.

Capt. Moises A. Navas, 34, of Germantown, Maryland.
Both Marines were assigned to 2nd Marine Raider Battalion, Marine Forces Special Operations Command, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Pfc. Walter Lewark, 26, from Mountainair, New Mexico, died Feb. 13, 2020, at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, from a non-combat related incident. The incident is under investigation. Lewark was assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 200th Infantry Regiment, 93d Troop Command, New Mexico Army National Guard, Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Spc. Branden Tyme Kimball, 21, from Central Point, Oregon, died Feb. 12, 2020, at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, from a non-combat related incident. The incident is under investigation. Kimball was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 10th Aviation Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Drum, New York.
Army Sgt. 1st Class Javier J. Gutierrez 28, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, died Feb. 1, 2020, in an apparent insider attack in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. Sgt. 1st Class Antonio R. Rodriguez was also killed in the attack. The incident is under investigation. Both men were assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, out of Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Both soldiers were posthumously promoted to sergeant 1st class and awarded Bronze Star medals and Purple Hearts.

Air Force Capt. Ryan S. Phaneuf 30, of Hudson, New Hampshire, died Jan. 27, 2020, when his Bombardier E-11A crashed in Ghazni province, Afghanistan. Also killed in the crash was Lt. Col. Paul K. Voss. Phaneuf was assigned to the 37th Bomb Squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. His decorations included the Air Force Commendation Medal.
Air Force Lt. Col. Paul K. Voss 46, of Yigo, Guam, died Jan. 27, 2020, when his Bombardier E-11A crashed in Ghazni province, Afghanistan. Capt. Ryan S. Phaneuf was also killed in the crash. Voss was assigned to Air Combat Command headquarters at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia. His decorations included the Meritorious Service Medal, the Aerial Achievement Medal, the Air Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Air Force Achievement Medal.
Army Spc. Antonio Moore 22, of Wilmington, North Carolina, died Jan. 24, 2020, in a vehicle rollover accident in the Deir ez Zor Province in Syria. Moore was assigned to the 346th Engineer Company, 363d Engineer Battalion, 411th Engineer Brigade. Moore enlisted in the Army in May 2017 and was previously awarded National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. This was his first deployment.
Staff Sgt. Ian P. McLaughlin 29, of Newport News, Virginia, died Jan. 11, 2020, when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in Kandahar province, Afghanistan. Pfc. Miguel Villalon was also killed in the incident. Both soldiers were assigned to the 307th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with “C” device, the Combat Action Badge and the Basic Parachutist Badge. He was also a 2018 graduate of the Advanced Airborne School Jumpmaster Course. McLaughlin is survived by his wife and four children.

His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with “C” device and the Combat Action Badge. Villalon is survived by his mother, who lives in Chicago, and his father, who lives in Brownsville, Texas.
Spc. Henry Mayfield Jr. 23, of Hazel Crest, Ill., died Jan. 5, 2020, in an attack by al-Shabab militants on Manda Bay Airfield in Kenya. Two DoD contractors were also killed in the attack. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 58th Aviation Regiment, 164th Theater Airfield Operations Group, out of Fort Rucker, Alabama.
