A 1-month-old is safe after and officer caught the infant as it was dropped from a second-floor balcony. The incident occurred last week in Hudson County. Jersey City Police say they responded to a call about an incident involving a man threatening the life of a baby. When authorities arrived to the property, they were able to make contact with the suspect who threatened to throw the baby off of the balcony. Authorities set up a perimeter around the home as they attempted to negotiate with the suspect. The suspect, however, still decided to throw the baby off of the balcony. Thankfully, Officer Eduardo Matute was in the right area at the right time to catch the baby. According to the report, the infant was not harmed.
