A 1-month-old is safe after and officer caught the infant as it was dropped from a second-floor balcony.
The incident occurred last week in Hudson County.
Jersey City Police say they responded to a call about an incident involving a man threatening the life of a baby.
When authorities arrived to the property, they were able to make contact with the suspect who threatened to throw the baby off of the balcony.
Authorities set up a perimeter around the home as they attempted to negotiate with the suspect.
The suspect, however, still decided to throw the baby off of the balcony.
