A 50-year-old nursing assistant has been arrested after a camera was found hidden in the women’s restroom at a public health facility.

James Otis Perry was taken into custody on Monday after the discovery was made at the Wake County Public Health Center.

Officials did not say who made the discovery or how they knew that Perry was involved.

Perry has been charged with installing or using a secret photo device and carrying a concealed gun.

Authorities say Perry was unarmed while he was in the hospital but the gun was found in his vehicle.
