
ALLEN, TX– Nine people are dead, and seven others were left injured after a gunman opened fire at a busy outlet mall on Saturday.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Texas.
Witnesses say the gunman stepped out of a silver sedan and started shooting.
Seven people were pronounced dead at the outlet mall, while two other people died at the hospital.
Three people remain in critical condition, and four others were stabilized, Allen Fire Department Chief Jonathan Boyd told the media.
While there were no details about the victims or the gunman, witnesses told media outlets that they believe there are children among the victims.
The gunman is also counted among the deceased after he was shot and killed by a city police officer who responded to the mall for an unrelated reason.
At this time, there is no information on the shooter.
