Authorities in Phoenix, Arizona are currently searching for answers after a newborn was found dead inside of the bathroom of a fast food restaurant.

The discovery was made on Sunday at a McDonalds restaurant near 35th Avenue and Indian School Road around 2:00 p.m.

The Phoenix Fire Department says they were called to the scene due to the report of an injured person, however, when they arrived, they found the deceased infant inside the restroom.

Officials say video shows a woman leaving the bathroom just before the infant was found.

She was said to have been wearing a black Calvin Klein shirt, black pants and sandals.

No suspects are in custody at this time.

Autopsy reports for the infant are currently pending.
