A New Zealand mother has gained some traction for naming her children after heavy metal bands, most notably artists such as Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera.

“There are no restrictions on naming babies after bands or albums, as long as the word used is not generally considered to be offensive or does not resemble an official rank or title.”, said New Zealand’s registrar-general Jeff Montgomery.

David Farrier made the news public in a twitter post praising the mother’s decision, saying  “It’s not easy raising three of the heaviest bands,” with the child named Metallica also having a middle name of… And Justice For All.”
