WASHINGTON COUNTY, FL– The newest K-9 member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office has made his first find since being relocated to the area in March.
Officials say 2-year-old Hannibal assisted in locating a missing 9-year-old child after he wandered off while walking a trail with his father.
The father reported the child missing around 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday after he lost sight of him at Dogwood Acres.
Authorities reported that K-9 Hannibal was trained in the narcotics, tracking, and apprehension division of a police department in Houston, Texas, and was able to use his skills to locate the child.
