The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office says a good Samaritan attempting to save the life of one of his neighbor’s encountered a few nasty words from another neighbor.

The incident was reported earlier this week on Dunes Road near Palm Beach Gardens.

Officials say the Samaritan only identified as Tom, was walking to work when he noticed one of his neighbor’s suffering a medical episode inside of his vehicle.

Tom ran after the rolling car and attempted to get it to stop by pulling on it’s fender but the car continued to roll, even at one point, rolling over his steel toe boots.

The vehicle eventually came to a stop when it rolled into a neighbor’s yard.

Tom then attempted to get into the vehicle, however, he was unable to because the doors were locked and the windows were rolled up. He then began yelling for assistance from his neighbors.

The neighbor’s who’s yard the vehicle rolled into then came outside and told Tom to “get off of their lawn” and to “get the man out of here, have him die somewhere else.”

While struggling to get into the victim’s vehicle, Tom then remembered that he knew where the man lived and ran to the victim’s home to get assistance from his wife.

The wife then called the police.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released.

He has since thanked Tom for his heroic actions.
