NASCAR is set to return to action two weeks from this Sunday and will make up for lost races with a marathon schedule.

Officials announced Thursday that racing would resume May 17th at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina, kicking off a run of seven races in 11 days at Darlington and Charlotte.

NASCAR hopes to complete a full slate of 36 Cup Series races with a 10-race postseason.

No dates have been announced past May 27th.
