“My Pillow” CEO Mike Lindell says he’s going to launch a new social media platform that he describes as a cross between YouTube and Twitter.
The site will be called “Vocl,” vocal without the “a” and Lindell says it will let people post without having to walk on eggshells.
“Every single influencer person on the planet can come there. You’re going to have a platform to speak out,” Lindell announced.
“It’s not just like a little Twitter platform,” said the businessman, who has claimed that he lost $65 million in revenue this year because of mass boycotts over his ongoing claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from former President Donald Trump.
Lindell, a Trump supporter, was banned from Twitter this year for questioning alleged voter fraud in the 2020 election. Lindell also plans to use his own servers to host the site. Conservative platform Parler was removed from Amazon servers after the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Lindell told Business Insider he’s been working on Vocl for four years and expects to have it up and running in around three weeks.
