A Delray Beach woman and her 3-month-old daughter are lucky to be alive after their vehicle was struck by a train.
The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. at Southwest 10th Street and Swinton Avenue.
Police say the 28-year-old drove onto the tracks and her vehicle somehow became struck.
The woman then got out of the car with her child and stood away from the tracks.
So point after the woman got out of the vehicle, it was struck by an on coming train.
While the woman and her child were not inside of the vehicle when it was struck, she was still taken to an area hospital where she is being evaluated.
