Palm Beach County:
The city of Lake Worth Beach will host a candlelight march at 5 p.m., beginning at Lake Worth City Hall at 7 N. Dixie Highway. Royal Palm Beach’s 16th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, hosted by the Caribbean Americans for Community Involvement, will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Royal Palm Beach High School, 10600 Okeechobee Blvd. Seating is limited and the event is free. Delray Beach will host an MLK walk beginning at 2 p.m. Monday at the Delray Beach Community Center . It will then travel along Atlantic Ave down historic 5th Avenue, pass the Spady Museum and end at Pompey Park. Lineup will be at 1:30 p.m. In addition, a Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast begins at 8 a.m. Monday at Delray Beach Golf Club.
Boca Raton will be hosting a ceremony and celebration featuring speeches, performances and a march. The events will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning at MLK Jr. Memorial, 200 NE Ruby St., and ending at Sanborn Square. For more information: (561) 393-7807 or www.myboca.us
Belle Glade will hold its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and Memorial Celebration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Belle Glade City Hall, located at 110 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. For more information: (561) 996-0100 or www.belleglade.gov.com
The Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County is encouraging members of all faiths to attend a community solidarity event at the Martin Luther King Jr. Landmark Memorial, adjacent to Currie Park, which is located at 2400 N. Flagler Dr. in West Palm Beach. The ceremony will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m.
Boynton Beach is celebrating King’s legacy between noon and 4 p.m. Monday at the city’s new Sara Sims Park. The program will feature history, education, music and activities. Performances include gospel choirs and dancers from Calvary Chapel in Boynton Beach, Community Deliverance Church, and St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church; Gospel Rapper JIG Harvey; DJ Thayri Wilson, Livin’ the Rhythm Drum Circle, Author Dr. Martha Norfus Meeks-Light and her son Victor Norfus; Boynton Beach Community High School Band and Congress Middle School Cheerleaders.
In addition, the city says Christ Fellowship Church Boynton Beach will cook hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, drinks and ice cream sandwiches for the first 500 attendees until 2:30 p.m.

Broward County:
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, the City of Deerfield Beach will have its annual Martin Luther King Jr. parade and picnic, also at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex. Both events are free and open to everyone. For more information: www.Deerfield-Beach.com
As for Fort Lauderdale, a parade will depart at 9 a.m. Monday from Lincoln Park, 600 NW 19th Ave. and march to Esplanade Park, 400 SW Second St. A celebration of unity and multicultural festival holiday celebration will kick off at Esplanade Park at 10 a.m., when the parade arrives, until 2:30 p.m.
