Missing woman found by group of South Florida python hunters

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL– A 75-year-old woman who was reported missing from her home in Umatilla, Florida on Wednesday, was located in the Everglades by a group of South Florida python hunters.
Darlene Peck’s husband contacted authorities after he arrived home just after midnight and noticed that Darlene had not returned home after driving to Ocala.
The husband told authorities that he was concerned for her well-being because Darlene suffers from Dementia and hadn’t been home in some time.
At about 7:00 am on Wednesday, Darlene’s vehicle was spotted in the Coral Gables area near Miami.
Later in the day, a group of python hunters found Peck in Everglades National Park in far southwestern Miami-Dade County.
Officials posted on their Facebook page that Darlene was unharmed:
“She is in good health and reunited with her family.”
