A 14-year-old girl who was said to have runway from her home in Evans, Louisiana was located a day later with a 26-year-old man in Aransas Pass, Texas.
Investigators say the teen was located Monday night in a park lying under a bench.
According to the report, this is the second time the teen ran away with the suspect.
The teen was said to have run away with the 26-year-old man on September 29th, however, she was located and brought back to her family.
The man was ordered to speak with police at the police station but never showed up for the interview.
While authorities searched for the suspect, they received word that the teen was missing again.
Investigators were able to narrow down their search to the Aransas Pass area after the suspect attempted to use a stolen CashApp card at a gas station in the area.
Witnesses also reported seeing a man in his 20s with a young girl who appeared to be “out of it” walking in a park.
When authorities arrived at the park, they found the teen but the 26-year-old was not present.
While canvassing the area, they located a man who fit the suspect’s description riding a motorcycle.
After conducting a traffic stop, officials confirmed the man as their suspect.
He was taken into custody and charged with multiple counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and one count of second-degree kidnapping.
Other charges are expected.
Authorities are currently making plans to bring the teen back to her parents.
