Authorities in Deland, Florida are reporting that a 63-year-old married man who was reported missing was reportedly killed by a man he met on a dating app.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office says that Bobby Scott was reported missing last week by his husband after he did not return home.

After an investigation, authorities found that before his disappearance, Scott had been talking to 20-year-old Michael Harris on a dating app and that they decided to meet up the last time he was seen.

In addition to evidence from the dating app, authorities say they found Scott’s vehicle in Harris’ possession. When asked why he had Scott’s vehicle, Harris told authorities that Scott lent the vehicle to him but he had not seen or spoken to him since.

While officials say they have not found Scott’s body, evidence including the lack of financial activity on Scott’s part, leads them to believe he is dead.

Harris is currently facing a second-degree murder with a deadly weapon charge.
