Authorities who have spent years searching for a missing girl say they believe they may have spotted her in the background of a Tiktok video.

The video was posted earlier this week and shared on multiple social platforms including Facebook.

In the video, the girl in question, is seen sitting in the backseat of a car starring silently at the camera as two men talk with each other. The girl has her head tilted and seems to have black circles under her eyes.

Private investigator Tina Storz says while the girl in the video strongly resembles Cassie Compton who went missing from her Arkansas home in 2014, she can not confirm that it is her in the video.

According to the report, Compton’s parents reported her missing, however, a day later Compton attended a demolition derby with a family friend. She then returned home around 7 p.m. Compton was said to have left the home a few minutes after that, and was never seen again.

At least one person has come forward claiming to be the girl in the video and the one who posted it. She also claims that the reason her eyes were bruised was because she had been injured in a robbery.

Additionally authorities say the girl who is claiming to have posted the video was reported missing by her family in California, but claimed to be “fine” in a video message.

The FBI says they are aware of the videos and are working to determine if it relates to the case:

“We are following up on the video and are taking investigative steps, but we cannot say anything further at this time. ”
