Starting today, restaurants, bars, food trucks and other food and beverage industry businesses can apply for some economic relief through the American Rescue Plan to help them with any losses they may have had during the pandemic.
The Restaurant Revitalization Fund, allows eligible businesses to apply for up to $10 million for pandemic-related revenue loss, which would not have to be paid back as long as those funds are used by March 2023.
The grant applications, which will be available starting Monday, can be accessed in the U.S. Small Business Administration application portal.
“Not only is it a great economic driver but restaurants and bars are important to the community,” said U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel (D) of Florida’s 21st Congressional District, one of the lawmakers who voted for the American Rescue Plan. “We’ve got to get them back on their feet and this will help do that.”
Rep. Frankel is also hosting a webinar on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. to answer any questions business owners may have about the grant application. Click here to register for that webinar.
