Miami Police investigate another deadly mass shooting

Three people are dead including a female Florida corrections officer, and six more are hurt after a “targeted” mass shooting late Saturday night outside Miami.

Two men and a woman are dead, while three other men and three women were hurt when gunfire erupted as people left a graduation party at a hookah lounge.

Authorities believe two vehicles drove up to the strip mall where the restaurant was located and someone in the vehicle opened fire. The six victims who were wounded are reportedly in stable condition.

Police are searching for a Chevy Malibu and a red Toyota Camry identified as the cars that pulled up in the parking lot near where the party took place and began opening fire.

Two of the deaths occurring when one of the cars crashed into a wall at nearby Miami Dade College’s Kendall campus. A firearm was found inside that car, according to police, and the male victims inside the car have not been identified.

The corrections officer died at Jackson South Memorial Center. Officials have not released her identity at this time.

The latest shooting comes one week after a mass shooting in Northwest Miami-Dade killed three people and injured 20 others.
