MIAMI, FL– Authorities in Miami are hoping to identify a woman who allegedly drugged and stole from a man after a night out in Wynwood.
The victim told authorities he met the woman on May 8, at Dirty Rabbit bar and dance club.
Around 5:30 a.m. the victim allegedly asked the woman to accompany him back to his apartment, where he was eventually drugged and robbed:
“And he was having some drinks, met this lady, and said, ‘Hey, let’s go back to my apartment,’” Miami Police Officer Michael Vega said. “She offered to pour him a drink, he begins to sip on his drink, and about three sips in, he falls asleep,” Vega said.
When the victim woke up, he noticed that his safe was opened, all his jewelry was gone, and the woman he went home with, was nowhere to be found.
Investigators also reported that the woman was smart enough to take the cup she drank from as well as the cup she used to serve the victim.
“We noticed that she has two Solo cups in her hands, so she took hers, so we don’t get DNA from that cup, and she takes the one she served him, so that we don’t see what she put in that drink to drug him,” Vega said. “We suspect that she’s done it before.”
The victim reported that the woman made off with over $600,000 worth of jewelry.
Officials have released surveillance video of the woman.
They are asking anyone who believes they recognize the suspect or has any information about the incident, to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
