Miami man wanted for machete attack in Jan. arrested

MIAMI, FL– Authorities have arrested a man who is accused of attacking two of his neighbors with a machete back in January.
Endy Gomez was taken into custody on Tuesday near the intersection of Northwest 11 Avenue and 55 Street after an investigator spotted him.
According to investigators, Gomez was involved in a dispute with his neighbors on Jan. 27 and began chasing them with a machete in the area of West Flagler Street and Southwest 63 Court. One of the victims suffered several cuts on his left arm, the left side of his abdomen, and his right leg.
The victim was taken to Jackson West Medical Center by Miami Fire Rescue.
A witness told reporters that the injured person was trying to disarm Gomez.
Gomez eventually was disarmed by a woman but fled the scene.
During his court appearance on Wednesday, Gomez was told to stay away from the victims.
He is facing two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and was released on a $32,500 bond.
