Miami, FL– A 59-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly began masturbating in front of two 10-year-old girls.
The incident occurred Saturday as the children walked home from the corner store in Miami’s Overtown neighborhood.
Authorities say the suspect later identified as William Antonio Martinez made eye contact with the children, exposed his genitals, and began to masturbate.
Officials identified Martinez and spoke with him around midnight about the incident.
Martinez told authorities that he was sitting on his balcony smoking a cigarette but denied exposing himself to the girls.
The detective did not believe Martinez was telling the truth and took him into custody.
Martinez has since been charged with lewd or lascivious exhibition on a child under 16 years old and an adult defendant.
