Conservative talk show host, Meghan McCain, was never afraid to speak her mind during her four-year run on ‘The View,’ and now she’s bowing out.

Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Hines had nothing but good things to say about McCain as she announced her departure.

After four seasons on ‘The View’, Meghan McCain revealed she is leaving the show at the end of the current season.

At the top of Thursday’s episode of The View, Meghan McCain announced that she is leaving the show at the end of July.

Her plan is to stay in Washington D.C. to raise her daughter with husband Ben Domenech.

Whoopi reminded Meghan that The View has given her a solid foundation that she can take with her wherever she goes.

Meghan revealed that her dad the late Senator John McCain, convinced her to do the show, telling her that she could “never give up an opportunity to to work on such an iconic show and to work with Whoopi Goldberg.”

All of the co-hosts wished Meghan farewell, with warm memories and empowering words of wisdom.
