New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has decided to end the mask mandate for businesses.
The news comes after governors in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey and Oregon lifted their own mandates.
The mandate will end on Thursday for businesses but will remain for schools.
Hochul said the mask mandate in schools will be lifted the first week in March as long as the latest metrics advise.
While the mask mandate ends on Thursday, counties, cities, and businesses can still make their own decisions on whether to require them or not.
