Two women were arrested after a fight broke out at a Florida airport because some passengers refused to wear a face mask  and caused a flight to be delayed.

The incident occurred at an American Airlines terminal at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Wednesday.

Authorities say three women who were escorted off of a flight headed to Chicago for refusing to wear a face mask.

When the women exited the terminal, they were met by boos from a line of passengers who were forced to wait for an extended period of time while the situation unfolded.

At some point, words were exchanged between one of the women who was exiting the flight and another one that was waiting to board. That’s when the women began fighting.

Cellphone video shows the two women attacking each other while a Broward Sheriff’s Officer attempts to break them apart.

Eventually both of the women were taken into custody and appeared before a judge on Thursday.  They were both charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence.
