The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that it’s system is currently having trouble receiving calls from Verizon customers.

According to the report, the issue stems from Verizon and that both Verizon and it’s representatives are aware of the problem and are working on it.

While the company works on the issues, incoming calls to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office will be answered by dispatchers at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, then transferred back to Martin County.

Authorities say that both departments are working to make sure all emergency calls are answered immediately.

It is unclear when the system will be back up and running.
