A man who was wanted for murder in Martin County has since been located in Palm Beach County.
The Palm Beach County Sherriff’s Office announced the arrest of 61-year-old James Stephenson on Wednesday.
According to the report, Stephenson called his neighbors early Wednesday and told them that he killed someone.
“Saying that he had killed somebody. That he had messed up really bad and that he wanted to let everybody know what he had done,” said Capt. Ruben Romero.
Authorities then searched a five-acre property known to Stephenson and noticed drops of blood leading into a home.
When authorities went inside the home, they found a woman dead inside a bedroom.
