Man tricks woman with dementia into letting him into her home

Authorities are currently searching for a suspect who reportedly tricked a woman with dementia into letting him in her home.

The incident occurred at a home in the 200 block of Southwest 38th Court on January 31st.

According to the report, the woman was sitting on the porch around 2 p.m. when the suspect approached her and asked her in Spanish if he could use the bathroom in the home.

Believing the man was a relative, the woman allowed the man into the home where he stole multiple items before leaving.

The homeowner says when he returned home from work he noticed that several of his guns and other items were missing.

After checking the security cameras, he found that a man tricked his mother into letting him in the home.

Authorities are reporting that the suspect stole three guns, cash and credit cards.

He is described as a white, Hispanic man between the ages of 40 and 50. He appears to be about 200 pounds and at the time was wearing an aqua-colored face covering, a white baseball cap, a construction vest and tan long shorts.
