Police in Las Vegas are reporting that a pedestrian who was throwing rocks at passing vehicles was struck by a hit-and-run driver.
The incident occurred at the corner of Charleston Boulevard and Rancho Drive around 6 a.m.
Authorities say the man threw a rock from the sidewalk and broke the window of a Ford pickup truck. A short time later, a dark-colored Dodge four-door pickup truck drove up onto the side and struck the pedestrian before hitting a pole.
The driver then fled the area.
The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital after complaining of chest pains.
Authorities say they are still searching for the driver who fled the area.
