A Fort Pierce man says he will contact a licensed plumber the next time he needs a job done after he became stuck under his home while trying to fix an issue.

The incident occurred on Sunday at a home on Trinidad Avenue.

Authorities with the St. Lucie County Fire District say they were called to the home in the afternoon because a man fell into a trench and was unable to get out.

Firefighter Mike Farrell crawled under a slab of the home and was able to free the man and get him out.

The man was not injured during the incident but says he will call a plumber for the next issue.
