FORT PIERCE, FL– Authorities have arrested a man after he fired into the ceiling of a church and then fled the scene.
The incident occurred at the Iglesia Ministerio Jesucristo es el Camino on Oleander Avenue around 4:00 a.m. Sunday.
Witnesses say the suspect walked into the church searching for his wife but when he did not find her, he pulled out his firearm and shot into the ceiling before leaving.
Officials were eventually able to track down the suspect and have since arrested him.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
