A 67-year-old Florida man has died after he accidentally fell into a pool after his motorized wheelchair became stuck.
The incident occurred at a home in Deltona on Sunday.
The Volusia Sheriff’s Office says they received a call from the man’s wife around 5:00 p.m. after she came home from work to find her husband fully clothed and floating face down in the pool.
The wife jumped into the water and brought her victim to the entrance of the pool and called the police.
According to the report, the victim had limited mobility on the right side of his body after suffering from strokes.
Investigators believe that he may have been trying to navigate around the pool when his wheelchair became stuck on a hose and caused him to fall in the pool.
Authorities did not find any signs of foul play during their investigation.
