The man who was fatally struck by a vehicle on I-95 in Boca Raton last Thursday morning is suspected of a stabbing a woman about 30 minutes earlier in Boynton Beach, according to police.
Boynton Beach Police responded to a report of a stabbing at 5:30 a.m. that morning in the Verona community, off Southwest Eighth Street and north of Woolbright Road.
Just after 6 a.m., a man was hit by two tractor-trailers in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Clint Moore Road. Florida Highway Patrol authorities said the man was a pedestrian.
According to police, the suspected stabber’s car was found that morning on the highway overpass at Clint Moore Road.
Police have not named either the male suspected in the stabbing or the injured female, who was last reported in stable condition.
Investigators are calling the stabbing “domestic-related.”
