PORT ST. LUCIE, FL– The Port St. Lucie Police Department is conducting a death investigation after a man was found dead in the garage of his home.
According to the report, another occupant of the home contacted The St. Lucie Fire Department after noticing smoke coming from inside of the garage.
The caller and another occupant were able to get out of the home without injury, however, fire officials discovered the body of a 56-year-old man in the garage.
The victim was said to be another resident of the home.
The St. Lucie Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire while the police department has launched a death investigation.
