Man driving Mercedes in Miami-Dade is shot in road rage incident

Police are looking for shooter in blue Nissan.

Miami-Dade police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Tuesday afternoon. They believe it was road rage.

Patricia Torres says her 36-year-old brother-in-law was driving a white Mercedes-Benz alone in the vicinity of Northwest 79th Street near 24th Avenue.

Police says the driver of a blue Nissan became enraged after he assumed he was cut off by the Mercedes.

The victim in the white Mercedes was shot in the leg after gunman drove alongside, investigators say.

Torres’ told Local 10 News. “He was talking to me on the phone at the time of the incident and I encouraged him to stay on the phone with me.”

The victim was rushed to Ryder Memorial Hospital and is expected to be OK.

Sky 10 was above the scene shortly before 12:30 p.m. and spotted a white Mercedes-Benz that had five bullet holes in the front passenger-side door.

Police are searching for the blue Nissan and it’s driver.
