JACKSONVILLE, FL– A man has died after a collision with a Road Ranger’s truck that sent the victim’s vehicle off the side of a bridge.
The incident occurred around 3:27 a.m. Tuesday on I-295 at the Buckman Bridge.
Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that a 61-year-old man driving a Toyota pickup truck struck the ranger’s truck and then a concrete barrier wall.
The Toyota then traveled over the wall and into the water.
The driver of the Toyota did not survive the incident. The 23-year-old ranger was said to have been unharmed.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
