The City of Miami Police are currently investigating the fatal stabbing of a man with a machete.

The incident was reported along Southwest 49th Avenue and Eighth Street around 12:15 am on Friday.

Authorities say they responded to the scene to find a unresponsive man suffering from apparent stab wounds.

The victim was taking to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he later died of his injuries.

Authorities reported that they are also investigating another scene nearby where a vehicle’s window appeared to have been shot out.

It is believed that the two scenes may be connected, however, that information has yet to be confirmed.
