DALLAS, TX– Dallas Police are reporting that a man  is dead after the man shot the woman and was struck by the same bullet once it exited her body.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of Medical District.
Deputies arrived to find a large pool of blood and a trail that led them to an apartment.
When they went into the apartment, however, they did not find anyone inside.
While investigating the incident, authorities received another call from a nearby hospital, about a man and a woman who were found with bullet wounds, inside of a vehicle.
Investigators later determined that the man 26-year-old Byron Redmon, shot the woman in the neck. The bullet then exited her neck and somehow went through his leg.
He then died in a vehicle, outside of the hospital while doctors treated and released the woman.
Authorities say they are unsure what led up to the situation.
They are still investigating.
