A man confirmed to a wheelchair was shot and killed Saturday night, according to West Palm Beach Police.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. along the 1100 block of 17th St.

First responders found him in the wheelchair, and pronounced him dead on the scene.

Detectives are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

In addition, evidence leads them to believe this was a targeted attack.

Police say the incident happened as numerous people, including Davis, were lighting fireworks on the street.
