A 51-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly broke into a daycare center, punched a pregnant woman, and attempted to abduct a child.

The incident was reported on Friday at the Meni-ninho Meni-ninha Enrichment Center in Miami.

Officials say Guillermo Rodriguez Perez reportedly hopped the fence at the daycare center and made his way to the playground were 25 children were said to have been playing.

Some of the children notified their teacher about Perez’ presence and that’s when the teacher confronted him.

Perez reportedly then punched the teacher who was said to be pregnant and attempted to break her radio as she called for help.

As other teachers worked on getting the students inside to safety, Guillermo then attacked another teacher and got inside the building.

He then grabbed a young girl from one of the classroom and attempted to leave the school.

Other staff members thankfully were able to free the child and take down Perez.

He appeared in court on Monday where he was charged with burglary, aggravated assault and attempted kidnapping.

He is now being held without bond.
