(DEERFIELD BEACH, FL )– A 37-year-old man is now behind bars after he attempted to set a Bravo Supermarket on fire.
The incident occurred around 1:28 a.m. Thursday at the store at 4809 N. Dixie Highway.
Officials say they responded to the area after receiving several phone calls about a structure fire.
First responders found several wooden pallets engulfed in flames in the back of the store.
Because the pallets were so close to the store, the fire eventually spread from the pallets to the store.
Fire marshalls determined that the fire was started after someone manipulated two propane gas tanks to emit gas vapors and set the vapors on fire next to the wooded pallets.
Authorities eventually identified the suspect as 37-year-old Alexis Camacho.
He was arrested and charged with one count of arson in the second degree.
