Dorchester, NJ–  Authorities in New Jersey are searching for a suspect who attempted to kidnap a 7-year-old boy from a Wawa gas station.
The incident occurred on May 28th at the store on State Highway 47 in Dorchester.
Officials say the child was waiting outside of the restroom for his mother when the suspect first approached him.
The suspect offered the child candy in an attempt to lure him away from the restrooms and when that did not work, he grabbed the child by the arm and attempted to drag him out of the store.
The child was able to escape the suspect’s grasp and that’s when the suspect fled the scene.

Officials were asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, however, it is unclear if he has been identified.
