A man who attempted to ride a bus to the hospital after he was shot has died.

Lauderhill Police say the responded to the scene around 4 p.m. on Monday in the area of the 2900 block of Northwest 56th Avenue.

When they arrived to the scene, the victim was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center where he later died.

Authorities reported that they are unsure where the victim was originally shot or who shot them.

As of 5:30 p.m. authorities closed off Northwest 56th Avenue between West Oakland Park Blvd and Northwest 25th Street to all traffic to continue their investigation.
